Corsitech’s (formerly Corsicana Technologies) primary products are fatty amines: cationic (positively charged compounds) surfactants based on derivatives from naturally occurring fats and oils such as vegetable and animal fats and oils – coconut oil, soyabean oil, beef tallow and tall oil. When the fats and oils are converted (or split) to their acid form, they are referred to as “fatty acids.” These fatty acids, when reacted with nitrogen- containing compounds such as ammonia and hydrogen under temperature and pressure, yield compounds known as amines.
Located in Corsicana, Texas, CorsiTech is strategically located to serve major markets in the U.S. and close to major ports in the Gulf Coast for shipments to international markets.
